Debriz Bridge was built by the Franks and served two major purposes. It was the only bridge that connected the province of Pylias with Messina until it became the bridge of Velika. The central road artery for many centuries was Pylos – Debriz – Androusa. Its second main mission was the road union of the castles.
The river Velika, at the height of the village of Strefi, passes to the west and at a distance of one kilometer coming out of a picturesque gorge meets a small basin called Debriz.

The river after the mill continues its course at a distance of 500 meters and at the point where the Strefi-Pelecanada community road crosses the Debris bridge is built.
The bridge, unknown when it was built, is the oldest bridge in Messinia, apart from the small bridge that exists on the streets of Meligala - Neochorio, and at the confluence of two small rivers, which dates back to ancient times.
The bridge from an architectural point of view is arched, it shows a slight obtuse angle at the top which tends towards the Gothic style, but it has nothing to do with it; it is simply western and indeed of that time style. Made of limestone, it is high and long, and wide enough for a small car to pass through.
The visitor admires this wonderful work of art that has stood for so many centuries, despite the rushing waters of the river.
